Secretary Grayson is the Chairman of the Republican Association of Secretaries of State and Co-Chair of the National Association of Secretaries of State’s Presidential Primary Sub-Committee but his statements do not necessarily reflect the views of those organizations.

Grayson (R) is a major proponent for election reform and has authored a reform plan that would create a "Rotating Regional Primary System" as a viable solution to the primary problems currently in play for the 2008 elections.

Proposal is a good start. Nevada has a caucus system which disenfranchises the majority of registered voters, basically restricting voting to those who are willing and able to devote the better part of a day to the process. While Congress has mandated early voting and promotes absentee balloting in primaries other than presidential, and in the general election, Nevada severely restricts the presidential candidate selection process. The beneficiaries are the party structure, the insiders, the losers are the public at large. Replacing all party caucuses with primary elections run by city, county, and state election divisions should be a part of the proposed regional rotation.

Great Goals with the National Caucus plans! About 100 planned so far! Secretary Grayson, what media interviews are you giving for our Nov 9th Caucus? Will you be interviewed both before Friday night and when the Strawpoll Results are announced? When will the results hit the airways?

Our Caucus members would prefer to see these events on Tuesday nights for convenience and media reports the rest of the week!

At our planning meeting, I was told that pre-registration was not allowed at the door for my senior citizen voter friends. Is that true and when will the pre-registration close? I HOPE that pre-registration will not close before 6:30 p.m. on November 9th!
